The Cooperation and Verification Mechanism 2011

In its fifth year is entering a mechanism of which we, in Bulgaria, initially thought would be able to remove within three years, at the latest, of our membership to the European Union, but no one is having illusions now that this will happen soon. Moreover, with every year on, the usefulness of his mechanism is being praised but it will not be long when about this usefulness too it will become difficult to talk, given the complete neglect of the European Commission's recommendations. Bulgaria and Romania have joined the EU in 2007 under a condition - to be monitored closely in the area of justice and home affairs through the Cooperation and Verification Mechanism.
