This is the topic where euinside follow the annual World Economic Forum which takes place in the Swiss resort town of Davos. In the forum take part government representatives of the world’s top 25 economies and fast-growing small countries. This is the only large forum which gathers together heads of state and government and CEOs from the biggest world corporations and companies.

#ISIS #Russia #ebola The European Parliament adopted today several resolutions related to the foreign policy crises in the European neighbourhood. The MEPs called the EU sanctions against Russia to be enhanced and to cancel all the agreements in the energy sector, including South Stream. The EP has strongly condemned the murder of journalists David Foley and Steven Sotloff, as well as of David Haynes, an aid worker, by the Islamic State. They called on the EU to use all possible means to help Iraqi national and local authorities to fight IS, including by providing "appropriate military assistance". According to the EP, the Ebola outbreak has been underrated by the international community while it is a challenge for the global security

#TeamJunckerEU The European Parliament is ready with the timetable for the hearings of the commissioner candidates and the vice presidents in Juncker's Commission. euinside will follow live the hearings of Economic and Financial Affairs candidate Pierre Moscovici, Vice President candidate Kristalina Georgieva, the candidate for enlargement negotiations Johannes Hahn, high rep Federica Mogherini and the other vice presidents.
