The European Commission has just presented its autumn economic forecast which is much more optimistic than in the spring. The economy of both the euro area and the EU will grow in 2018 by 2.1% and by 1.9% in 2019. In the spring, the Commission predicted economic growth of 1.8% for 2018 and 1.9% for 2019.
